Questions & Answers

Why do I have to register?

Registration allows you to view all the lessons inside the courses. Once you register, you have an account on the system which enables access to tools that will help you keep track of which lessons you have completed, and where you are in each course. You can also ask and answer questions in conjunction with the lessons.  You may also want to read our Privacy Policy.

What does it cost to use Coin Academy?

Nothing. Zero. Zip. Zilch. It’s all free, all the time. We hope to keep it that way, but we would very much appreciate it if you would consider a donation to help us cover our overhead.

I'm a Digital Currency Council (DCC) Member in good standing. How do I record the course I take toward my DCC Continuing Education credits?

More information about how to record your DCC Continuing Education credits can be found in your Dashboard of the DCC site. At present, this must be recorded manually but in the future we expect to have automatic recording of credits. Please be sure to tell the heads of the DCC that you’re learning with us. To become a member of the DCC, follow this link.

Do you offer a degree or certificate of completion?

No, but we do provide training for certification providers such as the Digital Currency Council (DCC) based in New York. For more information, follow this link.

I've got some great material. How can I display it here?

We’re always anxious to find new content creators who can help people learn about digital currencies. To get that process started, fill in the Contributor Submission form and we’ll get back to you shortly.

Who are you guys?

Check out the About page for details.

Do you support a particular coin?

Absolutely not, we are 100% “coin agnostic”! We think competition between coins, between currencies, is essential to creating a fair economy.  It’s also good for technology development, which is good for the industry as a whole.

Do you provide coin investment advice?

Not in this site, but as the coin universe continues to expand, we expect to be offering education regarding how to invest in other currencies.

What's with the owl?

Your curated collections use content from YouTube. Is that permissible?

Our use of content from YouTube is within the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms), which permit display of YouTube content on pages that are free of advertising or subscription fee and include additional original content. Additionally, we do link to the content creators and we also use the standard YouTube embedded player, which maintains links to the original content and allows content creators to generate advertising revenue (assuming they have elected to do so with their YouTube account).  We make no claims that the Curated Collection content is our own and we give full credit to the original content creators. If you are the owner of content contained in a Curated Collection and you wish to take exception to our use, simply contact us (use the form on the right) and we’ll be happy to remove it.
